Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt v3 already out?? Look at the download page... Maybe I am just going through a blond period, but I am confused... O well....

I can see that there are some issues there...I'll have to fix that someday.

Anyways, no, current version is v2.

Rough version history:
Version 1:
Was entirely file-based, and had a horrible multi-threaded tree-style board.
Didn't scale very well to multiple chats, and was slow.

Version 2:
In it's basics, it is v1 converted to use MySQL as a way of storing data, and given a new single-threaded forum-style board.
Since the first conversion, I've added a lot of functionality to it, and a lot of it would be near-impossible to do with files.
Still doesn't scale too well, and suffers from the old single-chat way of thinking.
This is the currently released version (but it is release 3 of it).

Version 3:
The WIP version, where I from the beginning implement multi-chat functionality, and scalability. Much better overall system, but for the casual chatter there shouldn't be any difference.

just how do you tell what chat Version your in anyhow?
