Hello!

Some of you may remember the idea I drafted up quite a while ago for a program you could have running in the background which would notify you of activity in chats that you had selected. Well, back then I actually made a working prototype, but nothing else came of it, and it seems the prototype has gone to the happy place for code. You can read the initial post here.

Yesterday night and tonight I had some time on my hands however, and I thought I would cook up a real version of it. So here is the initial version of the program.
Main restrictions: Doesn't work with locked chats since they require auth. Can be added upon request. Drawbacks by using java is a large memory footprint, but still less than having a lot of tabs/windows open in a browser I suppose.

Download the zip file here
Unzip it
Double click the marathon file (marathon.jar)

Requirements: Java 6

If anyone has a better name I'd like very much to hear it.
If anyone has a better icon I'd like very much to see it.
If anyone has a logo for the title are of the main window I'd like very much to see it.
If something doesn't work I'd like very much to hear it.
If you have any suggestions I'd like very much to hear them.
If you have any questions I'd like very much to answer them.

If you get the error "Could not find the main class. Program will exit." when trying to start Marathon, you will have to update your Java installation:
http://jdl.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=java.com

It's no big deal, but an OSX version would be fantastic if you ever get the time.

Of course, no problem! I've added a link on http://wiki.projectjj.com/w/Chats_v5:Marathon to the Mac OS download. I haven't had any chance to test it since I don't have access to a computer running Mac OS. If it doesn't work, please tell me and if it does work, it would be cool if you could send me a screenshot or two!
